6-2014 South Suburban Sanitary District Trims Utility Costs!!
Utility efficiency projects, repairs, and employee conservation efforts are allowing the District to conservatively lower District utillity costs by 33.4% less than the average last nine fiscal years (an average $40,700 per year savings). Proposed Budget Utilties 2014/15.pdf
These savings are impressive given the numerous past (and current) electric, gas, and water rate hikes over the last nine years. This is one example of how District employees are working hard on your behalf to reduce expeditures on consumables to free up capital to be spent on infrastructure that adds value to the Distrtict and helps to keep your future costs lower.
